What is the Best Way to Use the Powders?

The easiest way to use most powders is to mix the powders with a little juice or water in a shaker cup. The shaker cup makes it easy to mix the powder and drink quickly. Different powders have different tastes and some can be pretty strong. These powders can be mixed into smoothies, yogurts, salads, soups, fruit juices, or other foods etc. It may take some experimentation to find what works best for you.

What makes Buckwheat one of the top Sirtfoods?

Although treated as a grain, buckwheat is not a cereal or grass, but it is actually a fruit. It has the effect of calorie restriction because this fruit contains a lot of indigestible fiber. It is a low-calorie product and practically no fat (66 calories for 1 cup (80g) cooked portion, ½ cup (40g) uncooked). When added to any diet it increases the production of SIRT1 that is known to increase life expectancy. If you want a healthy and long life, eat more buckwheat!

Buckwheat is high in protein that has all 9 essential amino acids (that the body cannot manufacture), making it closer to being a “complete” protein. Naturally, gluten free. It is rich in many trace minerals, including manganese, magnesium and copper and is a good source of the B vitamins. Buckwheat also ranks low on the glycemic scale. In fact, buckwheat is so packed with nutrients and antioxidants that it is often referred to as a “superfood”.

Why are some

Products

Freeze Dried

while

Others Aren't?

Certain products must be freeze dried to preserve their nutrients and prevent them from spoiling. But the nutrients in most products can be preserved through low temperature drying. So whenever possible our suppliers use low temperature drying which means the product is still raw and retains all of the vital nutrients and enzymes.

What's the difference between Juice Powder,

Whole Food Powder,

and Extract?

There can be dramatic differences in smell, taste, appearance, and consistency between the 3 different types of powders.

Juice powders are water soluble because they are made up of the juice and do not contain other parts of the fruit so they will fully dissolve in water, or other liquids.

A whole fruit powder is not water soluble because it contains the entire fruit which may include the fiber, cellulose, seeds, and sometimes skin of the fruit.

An extract is usually water soluble and contains concentrated nutrients from the botanical that have been specifically extracted.

How are Products

Most of our products are packaged in airtight, stand-up, resealable, BPA-free ziplock pouches for convenient storage and optimum freshness.
